FIRST EDITION of this important work by one of the first economists to attribute the production of wealth to the joint action of three instruments of production, i.e. land, labour and capital; to show how the productiveness of industry is increased by the 'territorial division of labour'; and to state the law of diminishing returns. Torrens's works had a great influence on Peel. Goldsmiths' 23151; Kress C.795.
