Circle of Richard Cosway, R.A. (Devon 1742-1821)

This drawing of two young women, almost certainly sisters, seems to date from the late 1780s or 1790s. It appears to be the work of a miniaturist and the tenderness of the expressions and the fluidity of the pencil suggest the influence of Richard Cosway.
