The tops strung in ebony and boxwood, the feet inlaid with conforming lines, the largest table with a late 19th century White's depository label underneath for Miss Blount

Possibly the Blount family of Mawley Hall, Salop, who were major Gillows of Lancaster clients from 1791 to at least 1802 (see L. Boynton, Gillow Furniture Designs 1760-1800, London, 1995, p.199)

A "sett of rosewood quarto tables highly inlaid" of nearly identical form is illustrated in Gillows' Estimate Sketch Books in March 1811 (E.S.B folio no. 1895).
