This work is closely related to a composition by Jan Breughel I in the Prado (inv. 1422; see Ertz 2008-2010, op. cit., p. 961). This lot is accompanied by a copy of a certificate from Dr. Klaus Ertz (dated 25 April 1988) giving a full attribution to Jan Breughel II and suggesting a date of circa 1615-1620.
