In original wooden case. Recently recorked by Mouton Rothschild. New Château capsule, creased. U.S.A import back label. Good label, slightly damp-affected. Level into neck
Tasting note: Over 20 notes. Once the 'star' of the saleroom though always seemed on the brink, fleshy, often corrupt, yet always exciting. Most recently, a top-shoulder bottle; medium-deep, healthy glow; opened up richly in the glass; sweet, very flavoury, still exotic though showing its age, good length. Last tasted February 2004. Now, at best, **** M.B.
