signed, stamped with foundry mark and numbered 'C. Claudel EUG BLOT PARIS 36' (on the top of the base)
bronze with dark brown and black patina
Height: 11 in. (28.1 cm.)
Conceived circa 1898; this bronze version cast by 1920

Gropper Art Gallery, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Acquired from the above by the family of the present owner, May 1971.
