专家说明

With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated 7 July 1992, 18K gold and wooden setting pin, original fitted veneered presentation box and outer packaging, an additional original fitted burgundy presentation box with winding facility. Furthermore delivered with an Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with satinated gilt dial, applied gold indexes and gold bracelet in 1990 and its subsequent sale on 31 July 1990.

To the best of our knowledge the present watch has never been offered in public before.

The present reference 3945/1 is a very unusual version featuring a champagne dial. In fact, no other example of this model is known with this dial color. This dial is beautifully supported both by the original certificate and the extract of the Patek Philippe archives, listing the dial as doré or satinated gilt.

Ref. 3945/1 was in production from 1985 until 1998, and is a variant of the celebrated reference 3940. Whereas the case of reference 3940 features lugs in order to add a detachable leather or gold bracelet, reference 3945/1 was exclusively made with integral gold bracelet.

As its peer, reference 3945/1 was produced in two series, distinguished by the leap year display: the first series with sunk leap year dial, the second showing a crossed leap year, such as the present watch.
