Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
"Here alongside its first growth peers, it was still fairly deep coloured; bouquet clamouring to get out, opening up rapturously, though I was too aware of the new oak spiciness - attractive but oak, like garlic, should be present but not overdone. Sweet, rich, lively, a touch of leanness and pinched tannin and acidity. Impressive but needs time. Last noted June 2000 ***(**) 2005-2020" MB, Vintage Wine
Levels: all base of neck. Two badly stained front and back labels, two scuffed and slight wrinkled labels, one wrinkled back labels; two corroded capsules.
