This new world map was prepared for the 1550 edition of Münster's Geographia, replacing the map which had appeared in editions of the Geographia and Cosmographia from 1540 onwards. Like its predecessor, it is on an oval projection and continues to show North America almost bisected by water. Shirley 92.
