"A lovely, mature bottle, not lacking intensity or grip. The 82 Mouton showed a garnet color commensurate with its age, and a complex nose with notes of dark plummy fruit character colored by elements of soy sauce and tar, licorice and gingerbread. On the palate the wine was elegantly proportioned and classical in structure V not astringent or hard, but no longer showing the first blush of youth. Concentration and length are admirable."
