A PAIR OF ANGLO-INDIAN ROSEWOOD BOOKCASES

These bookcases, which are of a recognisably English form using George IV inspired decorative elements, convey a flamboyance that can be identified with types of furniture made in Bombay in British India towards the middle of the 19th century.
