8 volumes, 2° (390 x 280mm). Half-titles, lithographic frontispiece in each volume, 553 hand-coloured lithographic plates, all but 20 coloured by hand, publisher's blindstamp at foot of plates. (Some tears, spotting, staining and creasing, some text leaves and plates loose and others crudely remargined and repaired.) Original publisher's blue cloth, covers stamped in blind, spines lettered in gilt (extremities rubbed, head- and tail-caps worn, some staining and scuffing).
EXTREMELY RARE: not recorded in any of the standard bibliographies, not in BMNH. One copy recorded in Worldcat (Univeristy of California) and two copies in Italian libraries (Florence and Naples). Due to the lack of recorded collation, the lot is sold not subject to return. (8)
