signed and numbered 'A. Rodin No 7/8' (on the top of the base); inscribed with foundry mark 'E. GODARD Fondr' (on the left side of the base); inscribed and dated 'C BY MUSEE Rodin 1988' (on the back of the base)

Conceived circa 1884; this bronze version cast in 1988
