Woven in wools, depicting Valerie from the series of Les Femmes Illustres de l'Antiquité, with floral fruiting border, with previous folds and cuts to the right side and with areas of re-weaving, with limited surface coloring, later blue guard border
Approximately 9 ft. 4 in. (285 cm.) high, 13 ft. 9 in. (420 cm.) wide

专家说明

This series was conceived as a set of seven tapestries by Isaac Moillon (d. 1673) in the late 1640s. Records at Aubusson indicate several weavings between 1655 and as late as 1687.
