FIRST EDITION. The atlas volume of Gamba's journey along the Black Sea littoral and into the Caucasus with the stamp of the Russian Imperial Library at Tsarskoe Selo Palace. Gamba, French consul at Tiflis, had been charged by the Duc de Richelieu to develop Black Sea and trans-Caucasus trade routes.
