Each with a circular grey-veined white marble top within a tooled border, on tripartite base with shaped supports headed by scrolls, joined by a conforming platform and with shaped stretchers centred by a flaming urn, on acanthus-headed paw feet and castors

专家说明

This type of gueridon was highly fashionable in France in the late 18th and in the early 19th Century. It was probably created by a marchand mercier. Interestingly, related gueridons with mahogany tops, undertiers and supports were executed by Adam Weisweiler (1744-1820) who was linked to the foremost marchand mercier of that time, Dominique Daguerre.
