MARK OF RICHARD COMYNS, LONDON, 1930 AND 1931
Each piece octagonal, engraved with a lozenge-of-arms below a viscount's coronet, comprising: two large teapots; a coffee-pot; a hot water-jug; a large tea-kettle, stand and lamp, each with wood handle and finial; a two-handled sugar-bowl and a cream-jug, each marked on base, further marked inside covers and on lamp and stand
The tea-kettle - 22½ in. (57 cm.) high
gross weight 459 oz. (14,265 gr.)
The arms are those of the Pearson impaling Cass for Annie, Dowager Countess Cowdray (d.1933), widow of Weetman Dickinson Pearson, 1st Viscount Cowdray (1856-1927).
