LONDON, 1701, MAKER'S MARK INDISTINCT, PERHAPS FOR WILLIAM FAWDERY
Partly fluted circular on a gadrooned spreading circular foot, with two grotesque mask ring handles on a textured ground, the sides with foliage motifs above flutes and chased with two scroll cartouches engraved with a coat-of-arms and a crest within fish-scale, grotesque mask and strap-work mantling, marked on side
12¾ in. (32 cm.) wide
53 oz. (1,663 gr.)
The arms are those of Lisle impaling another, possibly Drewe.

Acquired by Sir Sydney Barratt for Summerhill, Staffordshire and later installed at Crowe Hall, Bath, 1961 and by descent.
