专家说明

cf. H. Guéné, Décoration et Haute Couture Armand Albert Rateau pour Jeanne Lanvin, un Autre Art Déco, Paris, 2006, pp. 76-89 for more information on Jeanne Lanvin's two country houses in Le Vesinet.

In 1921, Jeanne Lanvin commissioned architect Robert Fournez to build two weekend houses for her in the countryside outside of Paris at Le Vesinet. Both houses were decorated by Armand Albert Rateau, who had already worked on other interiors for her. La Chênerai was the larger house of the two, but it was La Buisserie, from which this mirror and the previous lot originate, that Jeanne Lanvin finally retired to.
