专家说明

By 1911, Georges Braque had completed eleven drypoints in the cubist style before abandoning printmaking almost entirely until 1932. Of these eleven, only Job and Fox (Vallier 6) were published by the renowned art dealer Daniel Kahnweiler and printed by Delâtre in 1912. Eight of the other plates would not be published until the 1950s by Maeght Editeur, after the Museum of Modern Art curator, William Lieberman, discovered the plates in the artist's studio in 1948. For one plate (V.4), only a few trial proofs were pulled.
