专家说明

Fidelis Schey, maître in 1788.

Born in the Duchy of Baden, Fidelys Schey was one of the many immigrant craftsmen who was established in the rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine and was patronized by the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne at the château de Fontainebleau. Schey worked from a shop in the rue Faubourg-Saint-Antoine in Paris with a saleroom adjacent, run by his wife. Schey worked almost exclusively with mahogany in the restrained Louis XVI 'Grecian' style, and delivered two tables a jeux in this style to Fontainebleau in 1786.
