专家说明

The Most Honorable Order of the Bath has its origins in the knighting ceremonies of the Middle Ages, and in 1815 the Order, which had been founded by George I in 1725, was restructured following the Napoleonic Wars to recognize those who distinguished themselves in military service. A civil division was established in 1847, and the installation in Westminster Abbey, which had been suspended in 1812, was reinstated by George V in 1913.
