Rectangular, applied on the lid with twelve squares of thin oxhorn veneer painted on the reverse sides in polychrome pigments with the auspicious imagery of the signs of long life with rich details of birds, trees and flowers, the slanted border of the lid reverse-painted black; the long sides of the box applied with twelve smaller rectangles and the shorter sides applied with nine rectangles all reverse-painted to form further longevity panels; inner rims red and the interior lined with purple paper, the base black with low bean-shaped feet in the four corners
