专家说明

This pair of 'arc-back' armchairs with out-scrolled tablet toprail and scrolled arm terminals are conceived in the Roman fashion and are similar in design to a set of armchairs recorded in the library at Chesterfield House, the London home of Lord Harewood and Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, before it was demolished in 1938 (see 'Chesterfield House, Mayfair, Country Life, 25 February 1922, p. 240, fig. 7).
