Probably the Duc de Tallard (according to an inscription on the verso of the mount); his sale, Paris, 22 March 1756, lot 640 ('Simon Cantarini, dit le Pesarese. Deux idem [Compositions], au craion rouge'), 16 livres to Silvestre;
