专家说明

Born in France, the Chinese artist Tang Haiwen specializes in creating works in ink in which black and white, void and solid, abstract and realistic are juxtaposed in an ever-changing compositional balance. His works demonstrate an essence of Chinese philosophy and endeavours to reflect the infinitive power of the universe. Tang chooses to produce works of diptych, triptych and quadriptych because it illustrates the concept of duality in one; and that the ability to formulate three or more spaces gives room for innovation and greater possibility. Tang utilized larger space in Paris (Lot 1434) to present the fluid and forceful lines of his brush. In Untitled (Lots 1369, 1370 and 1433), Tang made use of the more intimate scale to depict the gradation and permeability of ink on paper and the feeling of both simplicity and spaciousness in the compositions. Filled with rich and dazzling colours Untitled (Lots 1432 and 1368) represent the exuberant and perpetual power of life and the cosmos.
