Dedicated to Chaoshu
Wu Chaoshu was a renowned diplomat in the Southeast-Asia during the Republic era and served as the Ambassador of China in Malaysia. Wu was acquainted with the Chinese artists' circle that included painters like Yang Shanshen and Zhao Shao'ang and was particularly close and helpful to Xu Beihong. This painting was a gift to Chaoshu by Zhao Shao'ang in 1964.
