Mandragora officinarum was a preparation of mandrake leaves and roots mixed with brandy or other ingredients for a variety of ailments ranging from liver disorders to wart removal, and it was also used as a cure for sterility. Enulatum was an ointment made from elecampane rhizome, oil of wormwood, turpentine and lard which was used in the treatment of skin disorders.
