专家说明

Pleione was a 72-foot schooner designed by Herreshoff, of Bristol, Rhode Island and built in 1913. Her owner was Joseph Santry, of the Eastern Yacht Club of Marblehead.

On August 24, 1926, The New York Times reported on Pleione's victory in the Vice Commodore's cup for schooners, describing her as a "a very fast boat under the new schooner rig."
