Tasting Note: Several notes since 1955. Still richly coloured but tiring; autumn leaves, old straw, gibier - idiosyncratic as always - over-mature; still rich on the palate, distinctive, dry, with slightly sour finish. Over the top but interesting. Last tasted April 2005. At best **** M.B.
