专家说明

This kind of embroidery is well known in paintings and portraits of the late 16th and early 17th century. The most famous in England is the bodice worn in the portrait of Margaret Layton (museum no. E.214-1994), attributed to Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger (1561-1636)
Compare also Victoria & Albert Museum, Number 2016-1899, a nightcap on display in the British Galleries.
