Modelled by P. Reinicke, both men wearing fur hats and coloured jackets, one man leaning on a staff with his arms folded, the other standing behind him with his hands clasped, a basket of wood before him, on a shaped oval mound base applied with flowers and foliage (second figure lacquered around support and legs indicating a probable break, slight restoration to foliage and black bow at one knee)

专家说明

This model is from a series of Russian street traders that were loosely based on engravings and drawings by Jean-Baptiste Le Prince, who travelled to Russia to record Russian way of life in the 18th Century. See Len and Yvonne Adams, Meissen Portrait Figures (London, 1987), p. 142 for a closely related example.
