专家说明

In 1910, shortly after Olga Sacharoff left Tblisi, Georgia to study in Munich, she married Oscar Wilde's nephew Otho Lloyd. Although she resided in Spain for most of her career, she frequently exhibited her works in Paris where she had previously studied at the Académie Marie Vassilieff. Among her most important exhibitions in the 1920s were those at the Salon d'Automne, Salon des Indépendants, and L'Araigne. Influenced by French Modernism and the work of Francis Picabia, with whom she collaborated, Olga Sacharoff's paintings, including the present work, show a remarkable sensitivity to the subtle effects of light.
