专家说明

The colored clay technique (saidei) is a distinguishing characteristic of Miyashita's biomorphic and geometric works. Bands of color formed by mixing metallic pigments with clay overlap in gradations from light to dark, top to bottom. The eldest son of the potter Miyashita Zenju (1901-1968), the artist lives in Kyoto where he was born. His work is included in the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the British Museum, the St. Louis Art Museum, the Spencer Museum at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, among many others.
