专家说明
Mauchline Ware takes its name from the town of Mauchline in Ayrshire. In the late nineteenth Century this small coastal town was home to a thriving industry producing souvenirs such as snuff boxes, egg cups and thread-winders. Usually made of sycamore, the principal feature of Mauchline Ware objects is the photograph or pen and ink study, of which examples of both can be seen in the present lot.
