Franz Arthur Bischoff (1864-1929)
拍品 1 Franz Arthur Bischoff traveled to California for the first time in 1900. Captivated by the warm climate and the small but thriving artist community, he moved to Los Angeles in 1906 and built a home in Pasadena shortly thereafter. His studio provided him with a space to complete finished easel paintings based on his exploration of the diverse surrounding landscape and coast. Christie's is pleased to be offering a selection of paintings and highly finished oil studies from the descendants of Bischoff that demonstrate the breadth of the artist's prolific career.
