专家说明

John James Halls was primarily a portraitist, although he also painted historical subjects later in his career. He studied at the Royal Academy Schools, London, exhibiting at the Royal Academy from 1791-1827. He had a particularly successful portrait practice; a number of his portraits were engraved.
