专家说明

Sir John Finet (1570/71-1641) was a writer and renowned figure at court during the reigns of James I and Charles I. He was knighted by James I on 23rd March 1616 and later, in 1627, became master of ceremonies.
There are two other known versions of the present work; one sold at Sotheby's, Noseby Hall Sale, 28 September 1998, Lot 4; and a copy in watercolour by George Perfect Harding, in the National Portrait Gallery.
