Set with an oval-shaped paraiba tourmaline weighing approximately 17.49 carats, to the brilliant-cut diamond surround, gallery and hoop, mounted in platinum, ring size 5¾
With report no. 0608015 dated 8 August 2006 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the 17.49 carat paraiba is natural elbaite tourmaline
Accompanied by a note stating that the bright vivid blue and green 'Paraíba colours' (sometimes also referred to as 'electric blue' or 'neon green'in the trade) are caused by varying amounts of the elements copper and manganese and these colours have not been seen in any other gemstone variety
