Tasting note: An excellent wine. Consistently good notes. At a vertical at the château in 1995, after the '82 my highest mark of the range. By the turn of this century it was still somewhat hard and unyielding, but four subsequent notes can be summed up as follows: still fairly deep and intense but beginning to relax a little; harmonious bouquet; distinctly sweet and rich, with lovely flesh and flavour. Still substantial, very impressive. Last tasted July 2005 ***(**) 2010 - 2030. M.B.
