KHALED AL-RAHHAL (IRAQI, 1926-1987)

This gypsum sculpture is known to have been created by the artist at his studio at the Fine Art Institute, Baghdad in 1944, for one of his favourite female students as he attempted to present her in a way reminiscent of a Sumerian face.
