Château Latour 1976
Pauillac, 1er cru classé
In original wooden case. Original tissues. Capsule conge. Levels: nine top, three upper-shoulder
Tasting note: A vintage of undoubted charm; after 30 years most wines well past their best but many are still delightful. The earliest harvest of the decade, beginning on the 15 September. A lack of rain resulted in a lack of flesh, the wines being more lean than supple. But they were undoubtedly attractive, well timed and reasonably priced. The sweetness of ripe grapes and fairly high alcohol. A really delicious mouthful **** Last tasted in the ’90s M.B.
