Specialist note

First created in 1921, the intricate open worked pocket watches of Audemars Piguet are admired for their extreme level of skeletonization and hand-finishing. This, in combination with the thinness of the movement gives these superb timepieces an elegance that is an unmistakable Audemars Piguet signature.

The present watch is a particularly attractive model, hexagonal in shape, it is decorated with hardstone nephrite panels, the pendant bow is also set with nephrite, demonstrating the skill of the lapidary worker. To the best of our knowledge, only three other examples of this reference with nephrite embellishment are known publicly.
