The stamp on the recto of this photograph has been identified as M18 in Steven Manford’s book, Behind the photo: the stamps of Man Ray (2009). According to Manford, this is a facsimile name stamp “it is found on editions, copy after original Rayographs, and personal Man Ray property, such as books” (p. 29).
