Specialist note

Cette commode semble avoir été réadaptée par les propriétaires d’origine à partir d’éléments créés par Eckart Muthesius, incluant deux clefs dont les têtes sont chantournées du monogramme du maharajah dessiné par Jean Puiforcat à la fin des années 20.

This chest of drawers appears to have been repurposed by the original owners from elements created by Eckart Muthesius including two keys whose heads are fretworked with the Maharajah's monogram designed by Jean Puiforcat in the late 1920s.
