Catalogus Systematicus Coleopterorum. The Hague: G. Bakhuysen, 1806.
One of the finest iconographies on coleoptera ever published. 'Voet was a son of Carel Burchart Voet (1671-1745) who made a beautiful manuscript of Insects and their metamorphoses following closely Goedaert' (Landwehr, pp.238-239). Voet published a portion of the work from 1776, but his death curtailed the venture. In 1804, Bakhuysen acquired the work from Voet's executors, and completed it by 1806. Many of the splendid plates are by C.F.C. Kleemann in the same elaborate manner and preciseness of detail as his other works. The text of this scarce work is written in Latin, French and Dutch which are here bound into separate volumes.
