A collaboration between Audemars Piguet and Maserati, this platinum Millenary tourbillon chronograph is nothing short of sensational. The present example is uniquely engraved 'Engineered for Jean Todt' and dated 2007.

This model was one of the most anticipated releases at Baselworld at its debut in 2007. The styling and proportions make for a watch that is as good looking as it is technically accomplished. The case is substantial and heavy solid platinum yet easy and comfortable to wear, the skeletonized dial is beautifully executed to look like a speedometer with italic blue tachymeter scale. Maserati’s trident emblem is placed above the louvres, the aluminium tourbillon and chronograph bridges have a rich blue finish and the 30-minute register has a carbon fiber centre. Twin barrels provide a very impressive 10-day power reserve for the tourbillon which weighs only 0.45 grams. Interestingly, Audemars Piguet developed barrels manufactured from a combination of unique alloys including white gold and palladium to reduce any loss of energy caused by friction.
