ROLEX, REF. 16519, DAYTONA, A FINE AND RARE 18K WHITE GOLD CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH MOTHER-OF-PEARL DIAL

At first glance, the present lot Rolex Daytona Reference 16519 may easily slip below the radar due to its silver tone case and subtle dial. However, it is a special watch due to the dial being white Mother-of-Pearl and case constructed from 18k white gold. The dial is free of cracks and scratches and is classified as white Mother-of-Pearl. However, it gives off a lovely luster of pink in some lighting. The attractive dial softens the robust chronograph, while complimenting the white gold case and elevating the timepiece.

Within is the collector-favorite Caliber 4030 “Zenith.” It is a heavily modified automatic chronograph movement based on Zenith’s El Primero Caliber 4030. Over 200 modifications were completed on the El Primero-based caliber in order to meet the exceptional standards of excellence from Rolex.
