The timepiece evokes classical 1940’s Patek Philippe design with three silver dial disks, large minute pearls, and a subsidiary seconds register. What makes the present lot very special, are the large applied white gold Breguet numerals and leaf hands, exclusive to platinum variants of contemporary Calatravas. Measuring at a modest 37mm, the precious watch molds to the wrist with a height of only 7.8mm. Reference 5196P houses a manual-winding movement which further romanticizes the relationship between the wearer and watch through winding the movement.
