In commemoration for the 50th anniversary of the Rolex Submariner, the brand released Reference 16610LV which features their corporate green color on the bezel. Quickly, collectors nicknamed the watch “Kermit” after the beloved green colored character.

The present lot is an early and desirable example of Reference 16610LV, distinguished by its bezel. The “4” in the 40 bezel marker has a flat top, indicating that it is a “Flat 4” Kermit. These bezels were only produced for less than 2 years out of the 7 year production period, making the present lot a desirable watch.
